What an Easter Service at Mosaic Looks Like
The service itself: About 80 minutes. Singing, prayer, and a sermon preached straight from the Bible. No dress code. Come as you are.
The tone: We're not trying to put on a show. Easter at Mosaic is what every Sunday at Mosaic is: honest preaching about what Jesus actually said and did, and why the resurrection matters — not just in April, but for the rest of your life.
Kids: Mini Mosaic (infants through grade 5) runs during the 9:15 service. Kids check-in opens at 9 a.m.
Before/after: Coffee and bagels start at 8:50 a.m. Stick around after the service — most people do.
The Claim at the Center of Easter
Easter isn't a religious holiday Mosaic observes. It's the event that the entire Christian faith either stands or falls on.
Paul said it plainly: if Jesus didn't rise, the whole thing is a waste of time (1 Cor. 15:17). Mosaic takes that seriously.
The resurrection isn't soft comfort — it's a historical claim with real consequences. It means death has been defeated, that the broken can be made whole, and that the judgment every honest person senses is real has been absorbed by someone else.
We'd love for you to come and hear why we believe it — and ask whatever you need to ask.

Mosaic has been meeting since 2011. We're a diverse congregation — grad students, physicians, engineers, young families, and people who came to Boston for a reason and decided to stay. We're theologically serious and (we hope) genuinely welcoming to people who have questions.
This isn't a church that expects you to have it together before you show up. Easter is actually a great place to start.

Pastor Jan will preach directly from the Bible — likely from one of the Gospel accounts of the resurrection. Expect honest, substantive preaching, not a motivational talk.
