Serve
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Mark 10:45
We Love Our Volunteers!
At Mosaic Boston, we serve because Jesus served. The Gospel makes us a family marked by Christlike humility and service to God, to his church, and to the people around us. We can all play an eternally significant role in Jesus’ mission. There are three important ways we strive to do that at Mosaic.
1. Serve Jesus
We should devote our lives to worshiping and serving Jesus as our Lord and Savior, but a more specific way you can serve Jesus at Mosaic is through our Sunday service teams. Our amazing volunteers work together every week to create a space where Jesus can be worshiped, the Gospel can be preached, and people can draw near to God. Please click on the sign up form above for a full list of service opportunities at Mosaic. We would love to help you get plugged in!
2. Serve those who love Jesus
If we love Jesus, then we will love his church and serve our brothers and sisters in Christ. Outside of Sunday mornings, one of the best ways to do that is by joining a Community Group. Community Groups are a great place to build meaningful relationships, but also to serve one another through weekly encouragement, care, and accountability. For more information about our many great Community Groups please click here.
3. Serve those who do not yet love Jesus
Jesus came to love and serve those who were far from God and to draw them back into a relationship with his Father. He sends us out to do the same. If we love our city, one of the most loving things we can do for our city is to cultivate meaningful friendships with its people. In Boston, where our schedules are packed, we need to fight to keep enough margin in our lives to serve the people around us (coworkers, classmates, colleagues, and neighbors).
In addition, some members of Mosaic intentionally reach out to more specific people groups in Boston (the homeless, the elderly, etc.) or by volunteering with nonprofit organizations (i.e. Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Boston).
“Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe.”
