Tested Investments

Dear Mosaic Family,

If you haven't noticed, the stock market has been doing great the last few months. If you have money invested in the stock market, you've definitely noticed. Why? Because we keep a close eye on our investments. If you're into investing (which you should be), then you're always looking for a better return on your investment. The wise investor tries to find an investment opportunity with the lowest risk, and the highest return. Obviously, these are hard to come by. 

What if I told you, there is an investment opportunity with 0% risk and guaranteed returns? You would tell me it's too good to be true! Well, don't take it from me. Take it from God Himself! Jesus said, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Are you laying up treasures for yourself in heaven? 

What does it mean to "lay up treasures" for ourselves in heaven? What are these treasures? How do we lay them up? How can we invest in heaven, so that our investments yield eternal dividends? Well, this is exactly what we'll be talking about tomorrow as we look at 1 Corinthians 3:1-15, where the Holy Scriptures teach that will reward "wages" to each "according to his labor" for the Lord.
