❄️ Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! ❄️

Dear Mosaic Family,

I LOVE THE SNOW!

I hope I never get so grown up that I lose the thrill of stepping outside after a fresh snowfall. Everything feels new and exciting like there is a whole new world waiting to be explored. I may have a harder time feeling that way in March, but for Christmas it’s a dream come true.

We all long for the new. We all long to be made new. Even as we make our Christmas lists we’re on a search for the new and the better. Where does this longing come from? Is there something it’s pointing us toward.

There is, and I believe that’s what Christmas is all about! At Christmas God gave us a gift. He gave us something new and better that makes all things new and better. That gift was His Son, Jesus Christ.

This Sunday we’ll be looking at Matthew’s conclusion to his Christmas narrative. It’s a dark and horrific story.  Against this darkness, however, we see three bright rays of prophetic hope shinning through. Against the background of the wicked King Herod’s evil scheme, we see the new born Christ shining like a fresh cut diamond on black velvet.

Join us tomorrow at 9:30 or 11:30 as we look at Matthew 2:13-23. We will also have a Christmas Eve service December 24th at 5pm. You may sign up here to join us in person, or join us on the live stream on FacebookYouTube, and our homepage!

Merry Christmas,
Pastor Shane
