Battle Plan for Spiritual Warfare

Dear Mosaic Boston Family,

Have you ever noticed that whenever you decide to live seriously for God, to commit to greater levels of faithfulness and obedience, to commit to intentional Gospel relationships, to start serving sacrificially in a ministry, to pursue greater intimacy with God like never before, you're met with head-on opposition? It's as if all the powers of the Evil One are directed at you at that very moment? This shouldn't surprise us! Actually, we should expect it. There is nothing more displeasing to Satan, then people who long to live a life pleasing to God.

This is exactly what happened with Jesus. Immediately after his baptism, when we find out that God the Father is immensely pleased with His Son's life and decisions, Satan musters all of his powers to wage spiritual warfare against Jesus through temptation. Holy Scripture teaches that Satan aims to outwit us through temptation, thus causing us to sin...but only if we are ignorant of his designs (2 Cor. 2). Thankfully, God reveals Satan's classic stratagems, to give us the knowledge we need to overcome!

Join us tomorrow as we look at Luke 4:1-15, to learn about how to withstand against the attacks of the Evil One, from Christ's example of victorious spiritual warfare.

Praying for you!
Pastor Jan
