Eating & Drinking

Dear Mosaic Boston Family,

How would you complete this sentence: Jesus came ______ ? To save sinners? To preach the Good News? To establish His Kingdom? To die on the cross?

The Scriptures complete the sentence three ways:

"The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many" (Mark 10:45).

"The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost" (Luke 19:10).

"The Son of Man came eating and drinking" (Mt. 11:19, Luke 7:34).

The first two tell us "why" Jesus came. The third tells us "how" He came. How did Jesus love people? He ate and drank with them. Eating and drinking? What's so spiritual about that?

Join us tomorrow as we look at Luke 5:27-32 and talk about how we can eat and drink with intentionality to make friends and talk about things of eternal matter.

Praying for you,
Pastor Jan
