How Much Heaven Do You Want?

We are honored this Sunday to host Dr. Andrew Davis, the senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina. My wife Tanya and I were members there while in seminary, and FBC Durham was one of the first churches to financially support and prayerfully partner with Mosaic Boston.

Pastor Andy, a native of Boston, is also the founder of Two Journeys Ministry, equipping the church with Bible teaching. He holds a bachelor’s degree from MIT, a Masters in Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is also a visiting professor of church history at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Counsel Member of The Gospel Coalition, and an executive trustee of the International Mission Board. In addition to his preaching and teaching, he is the author of five books. He and his wife Christi reside in Bahama, NC and have five children, including our very own Mosaic Boston member Nathaniel Davis. Pastor Andy is one of the godliest, smartest, and most humble people I've ever met (a truly rare combination!). He's a great man of God and my hero!

This Sunday, he will be joining us to preach on heavenly-mindedness. How we live on earth will affect our heavenly experience. The more we sacrificially serve our Lord Jesus Christ on earth, the greater our heavenly rewards will be. The essence of heavenly rewards is an experience of the pleasure of God in what we did for his glory while on earth. How do we store up heavenly rewards?

Join us to warmly welcome Pastor Andy as he preaches from Revelation 22:12.
