Junk Removal

Dear Mosaic Family,

How much junk do you own?

This is kind of a hard question to answer objectively. Because we like our junk. We are emotionally attached to it. The junk is a representative of life lived. Memories. Each object is a reminder of your younger self. It's a gateway into your former life through memories.

Unfortunately, lots of churches have a clutter problem, as well. They've just accumulated stuff through the years. They like the stuff because it reminds them of the good old years. Sometimes the clutter is helpful. Most of the time it is not.

At Mosaic Boston, we're all about Love. Jesus. Simple. Tomorrow, we're talking about what we mean when we say we value simplicity. Simplicity is the opposite of stupidity. Simplicity is genius. When you can tell me what I need to know in as few powerful words as possible, you win my respect.

Satan loves to clutter. Jesus loves to declutter. Jesus begins his ministry by turning 180 gallons of water into tremendous wine. He then goes to Jerusalem, methodically makes a whip of cords, and cleanses the Temple of God by tossing tables and taking names. He does this again three years later, at the start of Holy Week, His last week before being crucified.

Jesus wants to declutter your life. Jesus wants to declutter the church. Jesus wants us focused on what's most important: Worship God, Serve God, Serve each other.

That's what we do.

Join us tomorrow a we study Jesus Christ, causing chaos to recreate order.

Praying for you!

Pastor Jan
