Where's Your Courage?
Dear Mosaic Family,
Happy Independence Day! I’ve been reflecting a lot this week on the Revolutionary War. I remember learning about the clash of ideals that led up to the American Revolution, but I don’t know if I ever really contemplated how much courage it would have taken at the time for the American colonies to stand up to a power as strong the Kingdom of Great Britain.
We often throw around the word “encourage” in the church today, but have you ever really thought about what that word means? It literally means to fill someone with courage. Courage for what?
This Sunday we will be kicking off Balm Psalms: Season 2 by looking at Psalm 29. Psalm 29 is a song that is meant to wake us up, fire us up, and fill us up with the courage we will need to truly follow Jesus, and give him “the glory due his name."
Please take some time to meditate on this amazing Psalm [HERE], and join us this Sunday as we worship, celebrate communion, and kick of Balm Psalms: Season 2!
Praying for you all,
Pastor Shane
