Newsletter: The Unstoppable Kingdom

Dear Mosaic Family,

In our next pericope of the Gospel of Mark, Jesus presents three sections of parables with one underlying theme: The Kingdom of God is Inevitable. The only question before us is how useful we want to be to the King. Our usefulness depends on our attentiveness to the Word of God.

In Mark 4:24-25, the Word of God says, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. For to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”

The more attentive you are to the Word of God, the more insight you receive. The measure of your engagement with the Word, the way you respond, your desire to grasp its message and digest its truths (no matter how difficult to chew), will determine the measure of blessing you enjoy from it. Do you want more blessing? Pay closer attention. Do you want more wisdom? Pay closer attention. Do you want to be given more of God's presence? Pay closer attention.

Proverbs 13:4 says "The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied."

Are you diligent about your faith? I've never met a spiritually prosperous Christian who is not diligent over their study of Scripture, diligent over private devotions, diligent attenders of worship services and community groups. Just as muscles are strengthened with regular exercise, so is the soul of the one diligent with the means of grace.

Join us Sunday as we meditate upon the powerful truths found in
Mark 4:21-34.

Looking forward to worshiping with you!

Pastor Jan
