I did not message you asking for money - Pastor Jan

Dear Mosaic Family,

Apparently, someone has decided to impersonate me online. Please do not send money to anyone who emailed you from jan.mosaicboston@gmail.com.

The email is sent with the subject line: "Task(Urgent)"

This is the email:

"Good morning Name ,
Have you got a minute? I need you to complete a task for me
I am in a meeting now and can't talk,
So just reply.
Peace.
JAN VEZIKOV, Lead Pastor"

If you know me, I would never send an email like this. For several reasons:

First, if I needed help, I'd text/call you, or ask you for help in person.

Second, I don't sign off "Peace." I always sign off "With love" because I really do love you, and if you don't believe me, you wouldn't send me money anyway so disregard the rest. I love you anyway haha

Third, I would never yell my name at you in all caps. I don't take myself that seriously.

Last, if I wrote a newsletter with the subject: Task(Urgent), I would ask you to share the Gospel with your unbelieving family and friends, because that's the absolutely most urgent task today.

So if you missed this Sunday's sermon, catch up online. I talked about "Discerning generosity." This person is a scammer. And if you're reading this, Mr. Scammer (it's probably a dude, the writing sounds like it's a dude from Ukraine, sitting in his mom's basement, with nothing better to do than to scam innocent people who have given their lives to serving God and people), so Mr. Scammer, repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. And get a job. And work hard. Tithe to the Lord. And be generous to people instead of scamming them, братан.

Also, if you sent the scammer money, please let me know how much and your venmo.

With love (and I mean it)
Pastor Jan

P.S. What a weird email to have to send. Thank you for your continued prayers.
