Kingdom Come

Dear Mosaic Family,

I'm thrilled to announce that this Sunday, we're embarking upon a new sermon series through the riveting Gospel of Mark. The book is written like a treasure map. If you approach it on God's terms, with humility of heart, contrition of spirit, and an open mind, the secrets of the universe will be revealed to you.

In Mark chapter 4, the twelve disciples asked Jesus why he taught in parables. Jesus responds, "To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, so that they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven."

Blaise Pascal once wrote, “Willing to appear openly to those who seek him with all their heart, and to be hidden from those who flee from him with all their heart, God so regulates the knowledge of himself that he has given indications of himself which are visible to those who seek him and not to those who do not seek him. There is enough light for those to see who only desire to see, and enough obscurity for those who have a contrary disposition. In other words, the evidence is there for those who have eyes to see.”

The first words of King Jesus in the Gospel of Mark are: "The time is fulfilled, the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

Join us this Sunday as we dive into
Mark 1:1-15.

Looking forward to worshiping with you!

Pastor Jan
